Thuban, Quintessence of Untruth

Thuban is the quintessence of Untruth. She was born from a conflict between Her predecessor, Jinnahra, and the Goddess of Healing, Meissa. Jinnahra had arranged to capture Meissa in a crystal, forcibly keeping Her away from the realms. She was able to escape, with the help of Her devoted followers.

Meissa, in an effort to heal the world of such great Cruelty, trapped Jinnahra in a crystal very similar to the one in which She had been caught. But because of Jinnahra's half-mortal origin, the crystal could not contain her. It shattered, and She could not escape the shards, and thus perished.

A small wisp of shadow did, however, escape from the destruction. The shadow was a distillation of that part of the Minx that could not die. It was the evil which is Untruth, and it coalesced into the epitome of deceit, intrigue, and betrayal, the goddess Thuban.
