I think a shaman inviting an age death charector to take them over would be a great. Maybe make it a shaman spell. That way the ancestor spirits hang around the shamans and bother them all the time. Give age death charectors a who shaman command.

If that is too much, then maybe age death charectors can just speak through the shamans when the shamans have spirit magic going.

Or if that isn't enough, maybe the shaman could cast a spell so annother person was possessed by the age-death charector.

Or something that lowers their spiritual defenses. I like it.

I think something along the lines of a physical manifestation would be neat.

The character could only perform the action once in awhile (it would add a temporary affect that would prevent you from reforming for a period of time). With this command, the character can create a temporary, "astral" form that can perform most of the actions that a regular PC can. While manifested in such a way, they can eat, drink, interact, mentor, etc. as though they are technically alive, but their form is weak and almost insubstantial, preventing them from entering combat.

Over time, the physical form would degrade, and the PC would lose HP until their body collapses (immediately exploding into sparks), sending them back to the River. They would only be able to manifest physically once a week (a year IC), though they would be able to manifest as a ghost as often as their ME allows.

Dont forget about greet, one of the worst things about beeing dead for long is that there is noone to greet so you can manifest.

It gets pretty lonely when the elfs start disapearing.

It would be interesting of you could possess PCs in a limited way, and if you possessed someone, it counted as greeting them. You know, because of the whole soul-contact thingy.

Bumping this topic, simply because I feel this is a great idea and needs to be considered.

Maybe the manifest command should just be adjusted.

So long as you aren't on the River, it allows you to manifest where you are.
Once you are on the River, manifesting without a target takes you to your home stones.
Manifesting with a known target takes you to that target, as usual.
