How often is seance used? Perhaps it could be a replacement / extension of the spell.

Seance could provide greater options to the Shaman...

1/ Target the spirit to bring them in front of you (current use).

2/ Target the spirit to bring them into your body (communicate only)

3/ Target a spirt to allow them control of you

4/ Target spirit (aggressive spell) to send them into the body of another (for however long) player or NPC.

This would make the excorcise spell all the more important as it could counter any of the above. For no 4, also, stun, attacking the controling Shaman, etc would break the spell.

For the last one, this would require total concentration of the shaman, meaning the Shaman can do nothing while they do this.

4 is too powerful. 3 is questionable. 2 sounds interesting.

I agree 4 is 'too powerful' as is, but as an idea I think there is some merit requiring very careful use / implementation.

And, wouldn't it be really cool!

Like all of 'em. 4 would be better if the shaman had to stay in a trance while the spirit was in the body.

Pretty sure that's not possible.

Some NPCs might be 'too powerful' to be possesed, IE immune.

You can control it, why not possess it?

Not like I'm asking to possess the GGI or the Vaelslreak<sp> and let me recall with them or anything.
