Would you like to see magic Resistance Removed from Enchant Armor completely?
Yes, I don't want MR. All it does is rune hours and hours of time spent enchanting. 24%  24%  [ 9 ]
No, I think MR should stay, dont' remove it. I want to resist all magic good, bad, or otherwise 53%  53%  [ 20 ]
I don't give a damn 11%  11%  [ 4 ]
I the enchating system should be totally scratched and reworked so you can add Combat Endurance, magical energy, stat point mods, all randomly. 13%  13%  [ 5 ]

Hi, I play Tshotha-Lantier. I spend days and days and days enchanting when I loose my things from time to time. Why so long? Becase about 75 percent of the time my things get to much mr on them and I have to rid myself of them. What's the point of MR? Enchanting is supposed to make your things better not worse.

It's my suggesting that MR gets removed from enchant armor.

Just because you don't want magic resistance doesn't mean others don't. For my current character, I prefer it to magic protection.

If you want to spend days enchanting things, that's your choice. If getting a super set was easy, everyone would have one, and PK death would be almost meaningless in RL terms.

Now if you want a rework so that enchanting requires more thought and less button-pushing, that's something I could get behind.

How so? I mean, I have had a champion Barb, a Master swashie, a grandmaster Sorc, and now a Master priest, and I friggin loath MR.
Anything that makes you resist sanctuary and and fly staffs is just lame...

Idea:
There is an area in each kingdom that has one room with a magic stone in it. In this room the magic stone changes color on ticks with time similar to portal stones. Any enchant armor spell cast on an item with the stone "open" in said room will give a predicable result. Light blue = MP dark red = MR for example. There are times when the stone where open and closed much like the portal stones. These stones would be risky areas because people would gather there. I think would be good to put them in areas already with magic schools likeTlaxcala. To make these areas even more risky give the stones names and make them rift gate teleport targets. Alternatively these places could be placed in "hard" to reach places like the wastelands Cain tech etc.

That is an absolutely [REDACTED] idea. We might as well give people the ability to chose their enchantments while casting the spell.

MR has its place and simply because you people are incapable of understanding how to use it to your benefit doesnt mean it should be taken out of the game.

Enchanting should be difficult, too. Not handed to you.

It's not even difficult, thats why I dont understand the necessity some people feel to remove it from the game. It should take at the -most- 5 days to enchant your armor to specifications.

And no, I am not talking about constant enchanting, i'm talking about when you have "free time" to sit down and work on your equipment.
