Dwarves need another point of intelligence. I know they have just been buffed. They got a sweet buff, one of the things I recommeneded too, or at least a variation of it. But honestly, the innate axe and the axe bonus is only good for non-fighter class dwarves.
Dwarven fighters should still not use the axe because axes aren't very good, dwarven casters and bards, the people who will benifit from the axe bonus will still not be seen because they are to stupid to even be of use. I mean my dwarf bard, which I loved, couldn't even sing and dance at the same time. That's how stupid he was.
You might as well not even have dwarf bards or casters if they aren't going to be able to us their spells or sing and dance. Dwarves need another point of int. Even if that means reducing their resistances a bit. The fact is is that unless you want a big handicap dwarves just are not playable for alot of classes.

Dwarves make excellent fighters and dwarven bands of mercenaries are not
uncommon on the surface world. Although dwarves do have spell casters among
them, they don't have a natural bent toward any magic. Despite their short
stature, they are very strong and their endurance, toughness, and general
health are unsurpassed. They are resistant to poison and disease but find
it quite difficult to swim. Dwarves can also sense disturbances in the
earth and can see in the dark using infravision. Dwarves also train with
axes from a young age which makes them superior axe wielders.
I don't expect this to be acted on but I would like to see Dulrik make a dwarf bard and play for 3 months or any dwarf caster really and see how he likes it. Or perhaps make it easier for bards to sing and dance at the same time.
I suppose the point of this thread is motivated by my lingering resentment of having discovered my dwarf couldn't sing and dance at the same time. Even if it were just fixed so dwarf bards could function I'd be satisfied with that.
