Create food/Create water aren't spells that strike me as unbalancing. They are simply slight conveniences and it strikes me as odd that Gods of the Light will give paladins the ability to feed themselves, but Dark Gods won't nourish their holy knights. So, I thought I'd make a poll. Should dark knights get Create food and water? Why or why not? |

Not to hi-jack your thread but, it would be nice if intimidation causes 'taunt' effect. "You are too fear-striken to move!" A perfect counter-part to that light gods demand you to face their champion thingie. |

Actually, that would be better. |

Don't make it exactly like taunt. Just have the no-flee prohibition. |

Intimidation is supposed to cause you the feeling to leave in terror before the knight, not stay there and fight him, so NO. Also, no to the original idea. Paladins may be able to create food, because they are supposed to offer it to the starving. If a hellion is hungry, he has to kill something and eat its flesh. Not pray to his God "Oh, please, I was a good kid, now give me some food". If I were a dark God of a hellion faith and I saw my unholy warrior prayed to me for sustenance, I would manifest and smite him. |

I agree with Juggs. A Helllion survives through his strength and if he hasn't strength to get food or water, then he is no use a servant of the Dark. |

I agree with Juggs too. If a hellion is that hungry, he can order his nightmare to butcher up some manly steaks of his fallen foes. |

On to the MAIN topic. I dont think Hellions should have create food/water, as the concept crearly explains why paladins get it. Paladins have it because they are sworn to poverty, an oath that demands they keep barely enough to tend to their steed/armor/weapon and donate the rest to the church. As such, the gods of light grant them the ability to be self reliant in matters of nourishment and survival. On the other hand, Hellios do not tithe nor are they sworn to poverty. As such they can retain wealth, keeps etc etc, and do not need spells to find food. On the matter of Sk though, if you turn any paladin inside out and upside down, you're about to witness a drop of the Kingdom's national budget in potions/coins/armorS/weaponS/trinketS on the ground before you. I sometimes wonder how the hell they move, carrying half the loot of the realm in their backpacks. Of course the same goes for hellions, but they are allowed to, they dont swear poverty nor tithe. So, SK wise, yes, give Hellions create food and water as well for the above reasons. I remember the good ol' times when I used to carry a lance and 2 swords with Nimolthar, and stuff like these happened: Quote: "Someone tells you OOC: I suppose you dont need TWO blades and a lance. I will be checking on you tomorrow, please give one away"
