Post subject:  Bug or feature?
Is it normal for a townsperson in a law-abiding town to try to pick your pocket?

I don't want to give specifics on the open forum, but basically, should citizens of a law abiding town be stealing, given that there's no recourse within the law to prosecute this, and killing them is a punishable act?

It's possible it's an intended feature, but it seems a bit odd.

Unfortunately, it is a feature. I wish it would allow you to attack the bugger w/o being reported, but heh.

Another alternative would be to have the same reporting system for NPCs, but that seems like a potentially messy proposition. Perhaps make it so that "reporting" an NPC sends them somewhere else, 'cause there's really not any good reason for a difference between a citizen PC thief and a citizen NPC thief other than to [REDACTED] people off or provide potential exploits, IMO.
