I was invisible and the creature could not see me, passed it several times. Got in a fight worded went back for what I had lost. I was invisible it didn't attack, I laid down to sleep and it killed me. |

The NPC is not usually hostile. So you being invis passing it doesn't mean it didn't see you. Some NPCs like the bandits attack when you sleep. |

Yeah, NPC is hostile when not invisible. Seems the NPC involved is the Hydra. |

Both of those NPCs are aggressive. Invisibility will not protect you from the basilisk. |
