There has been talk about tweaking the hero's amulets and stuff for the next hero's tournament but I have a suggestion of my own to make with regards to hero's.

They should hold the hero's tournament every six months instead of every year. Most characters don't last a year. Probably half of all the Hero's from the last tournament are now dead and it's a long way away for the next hero tourneys.

Just my opinion.

How about do away with hero's and these uber powered amulets I keep hearing about.

I remember back when hero's were level 51 and were this and this, the idea was to axe it infavor of more RP orriented PARs. What's the RP behind this incarnation of the hero concept?

No RP criteria at all, Paladin. It's all on who won the tournament and the rewards are hardly IC either.

--Shaman hero still alive and kicking, and not going away any time soon hopefully.

As for doing away with amulets and giving heros level 51 or some such, yea I love my amulet but I'd be willing to give it up for the sake of rp I suppose, still cool to be a recognizable hero.

People have asked for the Heros to be returned ever since they were taken away and now some want to remove them again?

Keep heros, decide what is best but keep them. I think it is great to have them. PAR is purely OOC where as Hero is IC recognition.

Just wait 10 years till Dulrik is done coding the new heros, not these hero amulet shiznits. You're gonna love it.

This Hero concept is the same as the original concept. Reward those that are the 'pinnacle' of the profession at the time of the Tournament.

Your all just jealous. I had -fun- at the swashie tournament. An adrenline rush I've only felt two or three times from this game. I still wish their was a log...good lord that was fun....

If you want true heros, make it so the amulet can't be taken or it only works for them. Right now it is more like a title belt.

I appreciate Summ97's picking up the ball to run the hero tournament. It is player-organized events like this that are the most enjoyable aspect of the game. However, I would also like to say that this form of hero is not the permanent new version. We will be doing a new version of heros at some point that have innate benefits not just an item.
