So far, it is a small list. I assume I will be adding to it.

Things I like

You can heal naturally now from mangled.

Things I don't like

Skills take PE now. This will likely be unnoticeable for high level characters, but is, I imagine, quite annoying for low-level characters with low PE.

You still cannot invest yourself into a religion with minor benefits (spells up to, say, veteran level). This is crippling if you're a priest looking to join a religion with no active HF.

Like

Extra XP upon discovering an area, and while you're new.

PS. I'm taking credit for that idea as mine.

Dislike

XP penalties after you've spent a little while there. That was not part of my vision :P

An IMM will RP invest for you if you need it. Did for me, anyway. Send a prayer up.

Is that you?

I also suggested that you earn XP from exploring.

No one person can take complete credit for any idea because "they have all been suggested before".

At least, that's what you said in my Alchemist thread, any way.

Nath: Was saying that necessary?

I agree that skills taking PE sucks. Bash can take over 10%PE with a new character and since your PE doesn't regen while fighting anymore it renders that skill next to useless for a long time. The cost should scale up as you gain levels so it isn't so obnoxious for low level fighters, or maybe just take a set percentage like recall used to.

Wow Nath, you've got a long memory. Maybe one of these days you'll bend it toward something useful.

In any case, yes, I was the one who suggested this particular change, and I will take credit for it so far as I desire.

Payne: I don't know as increasing the amount of PE skills take up as levels increase was the direction I was taking. Nor do I condone it.

I meant that the cost should start extremely low so that it isn't crippling to low level characters and as they get more powerful the costs could go up until they reach the level they're at right now. I don't think the costs should be any higher than they are now for high level characters, they put a small drain on your PE but the cost isn't prohibitive.

Honestly, I'd just like to see the system done away with entirely but that isn't going to happen so I was trying to suggest something to make it a little easier on newbies.
