Seeing as every single caster NPC in the game suddenly is a virtual, priestly killing-machine - could we at least have "hold person" be made a master or mentor spell.

I could post a log of my newbie priest trying to kill an old and wrinkled bakemono - but the log would be so long it would take up a couple of pages... I used 75% mana on cure lights and ended on 65% hp nonetheless. And that is when I am lucky with hold persons, mind you...

Combine this with slamming 20% spear of faiths (on a maxed out con, magic resistant race at jman (1) ). Making hold person a higher level spell would at least make it easier for the lowlevels.

Of course, the highlevels will still have the trouble of warlocks, shamans and the like, throwing around hold persons and harms around like candy. At least they have more options to avoid it...

...God I'm whining, but leveling a priest is simply such a pain

I think levelling is still too easy. One can reach GM in 200-300 hours and that is way too fast in my opinion. Could we slow it down a bit by f.x. grouping more NPCs together and give them some more damage spells and perhaps heal?.

Leveling a priest is no harder than leveling any other class.

Priest levelling is a pain at low levels, but it gets a lot easier later on. I keep ticking just from being a rez monkey for the darkies.

But hold person is LETHAL. Don't know if the concentration bug is fixed yet, but that was always the worst part about that spell as a caster.

Leveling a priest is hard? What the heck? I leveled like a knife through butter.

Admitably, grey priests must be tougher to level, though

I suck at leveling, that is no secret...

My rogue is at almost 250 hours now, and is Master (2)...

Just because some players are capable of leveling fast does not mean we newbies have to suffer!

Holy [REDACTED]! I just rolled a bard out of boredom and the experience is frickin' amazing! It's like half a level per zakami! (I only learned c major 'cause an IMM transferred me to taslamar by mistake. Nicest mistake anyone's ever made for me.) Wonder if levelling is like that all the way through...

Konge, warlocks don't care about NPCs with hold person. By the time the NPCs has it. They have their ele. My warlock never got it by hold person because the NPC was on the ground the whole time.

[edit] Fluff, bards quickly level at low levels. It will slow down a lot soon enough. They are the opposite of mage classes. They level quickly early and and crawl at the end.

REALLY??? My bard seems to have no trouble leveling... the only thing slowing him down is RP... Massive amounts of it... Not that I am complaining but bards are easy to level...
